What information we collect through this website, how we use it, and your choices.

Effective date: [Effective date — set after attorney review]

Abiqua Roofing ("Abiqua Roofing," "we," "us") is a roofing contractor based in Silverton, Oregon. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through abiquaroofing.com (the "Website"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request an estimate, call, or email us, you may provide:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Property information — the property address, city, ZIP code, the type of roofing work you need, and any project details you choose to share.
  • Photographs — photos of your roof or property that you choose to attach to an estimate request. Photos can show your home, its surroundings, and anything else in the frame, and may contain embedded data such as the date and location the photo was taken. Please avoid including people or sensitive items in photos.
  • Anything else you send us — information in emails, voicemails, or messages.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the servers that host this Website automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page, and the date and time of the visit. This information is used to deliver and secure the Website.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small amount of browser storage that is strictly necessary to remember your cookie preferences. At this time, the Website does not use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. If we add them in the future, they will only run after you give consent through our cookie preferences tool. See our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your estimate request, questions, and messages;
  • evaluate your roof and property and prepare an estimate;
  • schedule inspections, appointments, and work;
  • communicate with you about your project;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the Website; and
  • comply with legal, licensing, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Third-party services

The Website relies on service providers that may process limited information on our behalf:

  • Website hosting and content delivery — our hosting providers receive the technical information described above in order to serve the Website.
  • Web fonts — the Website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Search Console — we use Google Search Console to understand how the Website appears in Google search results. This service reports on search performance and does not place tracking cookies on your device through our Website.
  • Email and phone providers — when you email or call us, those communications pass through our email and telephone service providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with the sale or reorganization of our business.

4. Data retention

We keep estimate requests and project communications for as long as needed to respond to you and perform any work, and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary for warranty service, recordkeeping, tax, licensing, insurance, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

5. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by Oregon law (ORS 646A.600 – 646A.628).

6. Your choices and rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • ask what personal information we have about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete your information, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements; or
  • change your cookie choices using Cookie Preferences in the Website footer.

Oregon's Consumer Privacy Act (ORS 646A.570 – 646A.589) gives Oregon residents additional rights when a business meets certain thresholds. Whether or not those thresholds apply to us, we will make reasonable efforts to honor the requests above. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Children's privacy

The Website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
